Las casas dotadas de estas nuevas tecnologías han mejorado su oferta, encontrando en los últimos años un mercado competitivo en el ahorro de energía que conseguimos a largo plazo. En muchos casos no debemos invertir en un nuevo aparato o sistema que tenga un menor consumo, simplemente debemos realizar una gestión eficiente. Las nuevas tecnologías nos ofrecen un hogar capaz de climatizar una vivienda por sí sola a través de la programación o de gestionar la electricidad de la casa desconectando zonas por horarios en los que la casa no necesite de su consumo.
ARQUITECTURA
Podemos distinguir tres tipos de arquitectura domótica en el hogar marcadas por el uso inteligente de las tecnologías. La arquitectura centralizada recibe las órdenes a través de sensores y luego las genera enviándola por la casa. La arquitectura distribuida se genera a través del cableado o redes inalámbricas. Por último, la arquitectura mixta está dotada de una parte centralizada y otra distribuida. En los tres casos se trata de ayudar al dueño de un hogar hacia una mejor distribución de la energía. Un empuje por las energías renovables y la sostenibilidad en el planeta que además mejora las prestaciones del hogar.
